Nothing I can add to what you’ve likely read and heard about the tens of thousands of us across the country. Just that I’m so glad I did it…
What was surprising is that I would say the average age of participants was in the sixties/seventies. Lots of gray hair!
However I didn’t walk the whole way. After an hour and a half listening to live music and fine speeches, when the march slowly slowly began on its way, my friend and I nipped out and went for coffee and carrot cake (a croissant in her case). I knew I wouldn’t be up to a snail’s pace of a mile’s walk.
But I did join the grass roots organization Indivisible which is nationwide and I hope to support future anti-Trump Administration ventures.
It’s a frightening time. Nearly all the sages* who observe democracy say we now have reached the tipping point. Citizens must act and get Congress to act in our citizens’ behalf … not the multi-millionaires’.
Go thou and do likewise? https://indivisible.org.
*Victor Davis Hanson is the exception … thinks Trump is on track doing good work.
